A simply magnificent and utterly unique Jewel set in solid 18k yellow gold, and featuring a stunning, completely unheated and untreated Ruby from Mogok in Burma weighing an impressive 1.02ct. The beautifully made ring contains an array of clean and white brilliant cut diamonds of extremely good quality totalling 0.70ct. The diamonds look greyish in some of our pics, but this is caused by reflections - they are absolutely as white as snow and with excellent clarity and cut as well. The star of the show is certainly however the wonderful unheated Ruby which is of a gorgeous hue of purplish red - the purple hue tends to be more obvious indoors while outside the red comes to the fore. In sunlight, the stone is simply a burning red fluorescent coal, and just look at the stone's fluoresence under a UV light! Clarity wise the stone presents absolutely magnificently. We think that this is one of the very best 1ct Burma ruby rings we have seen for a long long time. The ruby is eye clean and almost but not quite loupe clean. Even under magnification the inclusions are tiny, tiny. Overall clarity for the genre is exceptional, however. Fluorescence - an acid test of Burma ruby - is extraordinary and diagnostic, AND the stone is absolutely fully certificated by GIA as attached: unheated, origin Burma. The gem is additionally of course without any treatment. As you can see from the pics at the end, under direct and bright sunlight the ruby positively glows, just as fluorescent Mogok ruby should - a stunning product of nature. Cutting is good without windowing, though as you can see the cut of the stone is deep. Google what Burma unheated rubies of this fine quality fetch these days in the international auction houses - you will be amazed - and you will see the *extraordinary* value in this ring for the superb quality. Oh, and that's if you can find one currently for sale, so incredibly rare are they. I am absolutely sure that whoever is lucky enough to win this stunning ring will be buying a blue chip and long term investment of *exceptional* quality.
