This is a simply gorgeous and exceptionally rare Spessartite Garnet from the famed Mogok Valley in Burma (Myanmar) and weighing an impressive 9.97ct. The colour is a deeply saturated orange with hints of caramel and cinnamon, absolutely divine! The gem is not quite eye clean, as our pics hopefully accurately illustrate, and there are additionally some small inclusions visible under magnification as well. Overall clarity is extremely good however in our opinion for this gem type and locality. Our pics have been mostly taken in weak to medium daylight, but bear in mind that the daylight in Bangkok may be a tad brighter than in other Western Hemisphere localities. No treatment whatsoever.
Cutting is good and the gem is bright and lively. The windowing in the stone, due to the shallow cut, gives the gem a large face at 14.0x11.1x6.4mm.
