A Simply exquisite platinum pendant featuring a gorgeous Unheated 1.21ct Burma Ruby from the famed gem mines of Mogok in Burma (Myanmar). The colour of this beautiful gemstone is a slightly purplish red, appearing more red-purple indoors and more vivid reddish in sunlight, absolutely beautiful and absolutely typically Burmese. Bear in mind that the light in Chicago, as an example, may not be so bright this time of year! At this low price point the stone is inevitably included, particularly one half of the gem, but overall clarity is very good for the gem genre. Note however that we are using a macro lens and these inclusions are barely visible with the naked eye. Overall transparency is fine - this is absolutely not an opaque gem. Cutting is good and the stone has a decent sized face for its weight, without any windowing. Lustre and brilliancy are both good, and this is a vibrant gem indeed. The diamonds (natural, not lab) are clean and white and total 0.75ct. The stone comes complete with a certificate from GIA confirming the origin Burma Myanmar, and no treatment.
