An absolutely gorgeous, absolutely lovely unheated, untreated heart shaped ruby from the famed gem mines of Mogok in Burma weighing 2.09ct. The colour is an almost pure hue of red, typically Burmese and absolutely divine. The stone is inevitably included at this price point but transparency and lustre are very good, this is really a bright and vibrant stone. Additionally you can see a little pit on the surface of the gem at 11 o’clock. The back of the stone is also rather imperfect though obviously this cannot be seen in the setting. Note that have used a sophisticated macro lens for these pics which will always tend to exaggerate any inclusions.
The diamonds are natural, total 1.10ct, and are clean and white
Cutting is excellent with minimal windowing in the stone.
It goes without saying that the stone is extremely vibrant with excellent life and brilliancy, transparent, and will complete with a certificate from a respected local laboratory confirming no heat and the origin.
