A simply gorgeous Estate ring set in solid platinum and featuring a stunning Unheated Blue Sapphire from Sri Lanka weighing an absolutely impressive 7.38ct. The beautifully made Estate ring contains an array of clean and white diamonds of excellent quality totalling 1.73ct. The central Blue Sapphire is simply stunning - a medium 'cornflower' hue of blue with a splash of violet, a unique and simply stunning hue which shows extreme fire and vibrancy. A definite hint of a colour change here! The stone is not quite eye clean but we would describe it as virtually nor not quite eye clean to all but the trained/eagle eyed. Bear in mind that our pics have been taken with a macro lens, which will by definition accentuate all inclusions in our pics. Such extremely good clarity in such a large blue sapphire is absolutely rare and absolutely to be collected. Lustre and brilliancy are exceptional - the stone is positively 'alive'. The last few pics have been taken under incandescent light - look how the stone glows and is almost transformed into a purple hue! The diamonds are WHITE and not yellowish or greyish as in some pics., totalling an immense 1.73ct. The ring will come complete with certification from the respected Central Gem Laboratory in Tokyo confirming no indication of heating, as well as additional certification from a small but highly respected Bangkok gem laboratory, which will also confirm no heat treatment present.
